Through the lens of my camera, I had the privilege of capturing the incredible journey of the Liter of Light project in the heart of the Amazon Rain Forest in March 10th - 18th, 2017. Lanterns and streetlights illuminated seven riverside communities in the municipality of Caapiranga (Bararuá, Cachoeira, Taboca, Dominguinhos, Jacarezinho, Joari, São Sebastião) and brought together people from across the country to make this endeavor a reality in the "lungs of the world." Over 800 people positively impacted and 100 lanterns and 100 streetlights installed. Witnessing the transformation brought about by light in these remote communities was awe-inspiring. Together, we illuminated paths, ignited hope, and empowered lives. It was a truly humbling experience to be part of this endeavor that not only brightened the nights but also brought a new sense of possibility and unity to the Amazon.
